Sensor Positioning
The ATOS sensor head may be positioned on a stand freely in front of the measuring object. For automated measurements, the sensor is used on a robot.


Measurement
Fringe patterns are projected onto the object's surface with a white light projection and are recorded by two cameras. The system self-dependently checks its calibration and the influence of the ambient conditions.


Evaluation
Within seconds, the software calculates the high-precision 3D coordinates of up to 4 million object points per measurement. In addition to the surface, the system also provides trimming and hole pattern information.


Result
Each additional measurement is transformed fully automatically into a common object coordinate system. Deviations to the CAD may be calculated. The complete 3D data set and the comparison results may be exported into standard formats for further processing.
