SOFTWARE

The PONTOS software offers numerous functionalities for an optimized data acquisistion, evaluation and results visualization.


Data Acquisition
- Comfortable interface for different camera models
- Flexibel triggering of image aquisition (manual, time sequence, TTL signal or load signal from the experiment, ...)
- Import of images from external cameras
- Integrated data logger and trigger box

Computation
- Stereo-image based evaluation technique
- Automatic calculation of the marker positions, their movement and the deformation of the object
- Evaluation of relative motion between points
- 3D graphical display of the resulting data

Primitives
- Primitives (spheres, cylinders, cones, planes, lines, ...) can be generated from mesh data (certified by PTB and NIST)
- Intersection and projection of primitives
- Analysis of marker movement relative to primitives

Registration
- Elimination of the rigid body movement
- Registration of the captured data into predefined coordinate systems or into predefined geometrical elements (primitives)


Graphical display and export of the data
- Result data overlay on captured images
- Result visualization of displacment images, graphical diagrams, analog signals, ... in reports
- Export functions for measuring arrays and selected data points
- Generation of result-movies


Automation
- Macro functionality for easy recording, editing and launching of repetitive steps in image acquisition, post processing and data evaluation


Hardware
- 64 bit PCs with Dual CPUs to minimize the measurement and calculation time
- Integrated LED flash systems to illuminate the measuring area synchronized to image acquisition
